Local Escapes is a travel planner and tour operator dedicated to arranging incredible Northwest experiences that are:

By using our local expertise, we will setup the best the region has to offer based on your interests, the amount of time you have, and the time of year.  We offer guided/hosted experiences with local residents that allow you to be welcomed into the local communities and gain insight into local history, culture, and environment throughout your activities.  We encourage multi-dimensional experiences which blend activities and adventure with culture and the arts…a sort of rustic elegance.  As a result, we hope to offer a different perspective on even the most familiar activities and destinations.

Scenic Bainbridge Island, Washington, serves as our home base and major influence.  Its central location offers easy access to the full range of experiences and settings.  Our backyard includes:

• Inland waterways & remote ocean beaches
• 2 distinctly different mountain ranges with rainforests, glaciers, and ridgetop meadows
• 4 national parks (Olympic, Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, & North Cascades)

• Numerous seaside communities rich in history and culture
• Diverse wildlife inhabiting local forests, fields, wetlands, and waterways
